When individuals unexpectedly fall into their most vulnerable state, communication is at its most crucial and its most difficult. During patient unconsciousness in a medical setting, the only messages provided are numbers and data. What can the individual in this state tell you about themselves without speaking, touching or moving?
As medical equipment, the interface of the life-support system or vital signs monitor acts as the only means of constant communication. Essentially, it is the most important machine but it is also the hardest to understand for both patients and visitors. This project is focused on enhancing the body’s statistical activities through strong visual representation, to reflect people’s most intimate moment with machine.
